GUITAR STAND

Brazilian Morado Rosewood

For certain projects, the goal is to transcend the functionality of a household item–creating a piece of artwork that is also functional. This design is a freestanding, suspended guitar holder. The objective was to create a stand that would fully integrate into the look of the guitar, while also maintaining its own presence as an art piece.

The design was inspired by futuristic design language. However, instead of using synthetic materials like metal or plastic (which is typical for the genre), Brazilian Morado Rosewood was used to echo the neck of the guitar. From the profile view, the stand occupies as much visual space as the guitar and integrates with the aesthetic of the instrument. From the front view, the stand become almost transparent in nature, giving precedence to the form of the guitar.
